I Am Grateful!

Hey there everyone! How are you? Just a quick post tonight, because it has been a long day!! A VERY long day at that, I must say! Kyah and I had Girl Scouts tonight, need I say more!! Ok, so, onto my card. I hope you like it! I thought it appropriate to post, since I am GRATEFUL to all of you for visiting with me!! As you can see, my counter is closing in on 5,000 hits! I can't believe it, already!! I feel more blog candy coming on, don't you? Haha! I was trying to find an extra small saying to fit in that SU hardware, when there it was. I thought this beautiful script word was fitting for this image. This image, by the way, that came from SCRAMPIN' MAMA, Sarah! She's awesome! I didn't have any Whipper Snapper stamps or images, so she sent this to me. Wasn't that great of her to swap images with me? Now I think I NEED some Whipper Snapper stamps!! Haha!! NEED! Yeah, right!! Like I NEED more stamps! Hehe! It's the WANT factor! Now, isn't it!! Oh, and check the paper out!! I am likin' the paper a whole lot. It's K & Company and I found it at Mike's with the scrapbooking stuff. It wasn't with the other paper pads and they had several designs to choose from. What do you think? All I have to say is, WOW! I can't believe I actually won a BLOG CANDY!!! Thanks so much, Cheri, for the chance to win!!

Ok, sorry, I was just a tad excited!! Hehe! So, how is everyone?? Thanks for stopping by today, I appreciate tremendously!! I also am VERY excited about my card here! What do you think? I really was tryin' to go outside the box with this one. Maybe it's not out of all of your boxes, but, it was for me! So, you can understand how proud I am of this one!! I took my close to cocoa SU CS and mounted a piece of Basic Grey ( my FAV, I swear) DP. I call it BG paper, but, I have seen some of you call it DP. We will go with DP today. I wanted to turn up the edge and forgot that this paper doesn't have anything on the back. Well, I made my own on the back! I sponged some SU Basic Brown on there and I like it!! Then I pieced another snippet of Basic Grey DP, from the same Cupcake 6x6 pad. This is the same pad I had from LIMELIGHT PAPERCRAFTS! I have been using it sparingly! LOL! Then I added the Book Sentiment from Stamping Bella and sponged that with the SU Brocade Blue. It has to match you know, or at least coordinate! Haha! Did I mention that I got this image in a swap?? This one came from Scrampin Mama, I am so thankful for this swap;because I have the sentiment and not the bella. Thanks much Sarah, I love this image!! I like to give books as gifts a lot, so this image will definitely be used!! Speaking of image swaps, don't forget to email me if your interested in swapping!! I will email you my list!! I hope you love this card as much as I do.

Ok, I had to post this card too! I don't know if any of you remember my chick card, a while back, but I really liked that Kitchen Sink set a bunch! I liked it so much and it was so reasonable, not to mention way cute, that I had to get the Squirrel set!! It took me a bit to get the hang of this 3 step stamping, it can really be tricky! I know these clear stamps are supposed to make it easier to see, but not me!!! It kinda confused the issue at times! Anyway, I did finally get it to work and, of course, I LOVE this card!! I won't go into detail, since my last couple posts have been lengthy and you all were great enough to read them in their entirety!!! You guys are the BEST!! Let me know what you think on these 2! I love to hear your feed back!! Oh, and don't forget the festivities at LIMELIGHT PAPERCRAFTS, this coming October 4th. If you scroll down, I have the deets listed below!! FINALLY! A Card For my Happy Hopper! & The Purposed Image Swap Info!!

Happy Saturday everyone!! How are you and your families today?? It is majorly YUCKY here!! Rain, rain, rain, and more rain!! Haha! Oh well, I guess someone would say we need it, right?? First topic of discussion is the purposed image swap! After compiling my list, I find that it probably would be TOO long to post here. So, I would love for ANY of you to contact me for my list!! If you are interested in joining the swapping fun, just email me and put "image swap" in the description line. I can't wait to get started, because I love sharing my collection and playing with new images! Did I say collection?? I meant OBSESSION!! LOL! Ok? Next! What do you think of my card? I couldn't wait to use this image I colored!! I was trying to find just the right BG/DP to go with the COOL red!! However, I just felt that , everything I found, took away from the cool shoes and handbag! So, I used my CB embossing folder, for something more subtle! The Prima I found at Mike's and it just kinda jumped out at me! I bought the whole stinkin container, just for that flower! Haha! Not like I won't use the rest of them. Didn't matter anyway, since I was beyond excited about my find!! It was perfect!!I also was able to send some of the flowers along with the Cool Cat card I made, on a previous post, to the same great girl!! She should have received it by now, but, just in case, we will refer to her as the great girl! Hehe! I can't wait for her to get it!! I think she will be surprised and I LOVE surprising people!! WAY FUN!!

Hey there Ladies!! How are you this evening? I was having such a GREAT day, until Kyah came home from school with a note from her teacher!! I give up, ok?! Really!! I was just coming out of the FUNK from the last few!! Now keep in mind my friends, my Kyah is NOT a bad kid!! I believe there are just a few communication issues to work out this year! Sorry about that, I just had to get that off my chest! Now let's move on, shall we?

I LOVE this card, don't you? I have to tell you, this paper is GORGEOUS! The picture just does NOT do it justice, really! I got my order the other day, from Stamping Bella, and most of the order was gifts for different friends of mine. However, I did get 2 things for myself! One of those was this paper. I am a big BG paper freak, did I mention that? Oh yeah, I think I did last time. Oh well! Anyway, this is from the 6x6,Basic Grey, Eva paper pad I ordered!! I just love Basic Grey's BG paper!! If anyone knows of somewhere, local to PA, that I can get this stuff? Let me know!! I have only ever seen it in different online shops. I also used the Bella Baubles I got; they were the first I have ever gotten!! It's the whole matching factor, again! Hehe! I did have another card for you, but, I believe I will post it tomorrow. I wanted to tell you about the BIG WCMD EVENT at Limelight Papercrafts!! I have copied it for you below!! So, step into the Limelight and have a blast!!! Hi there everyone! How are you? Hope you all are well!!! Sorry it's been a while!! I am usually a positive person, but, this week I found it a little hard!! There was a lot going on and Kyah had her issues with school this week. However, I do feel a little better now, since I spoke to her new reading teacher. I think I just let myself get too worked up over things sometimes. Ya know what I mean? Ok, enough of that stuff! A big thank you to my Bella Sistah, Carri!! She sent me the COOLEST cards!! That was an AWESOME surprise and I really needed that! Thanks!!So, what's new with all of you? Anything exciting? By the way, you NEED to check out the blog candy my sistah friend Cheri is offering, check it HERE!!!

Ok, how do you like the card?? I made this for a special girl; can't tell you who though, 'cuz she didn't get it yet! It's probably still in the mail. I just had to share it though!! I LOVE Pinkcatstudio stamps!! You should see all the cute ones they have to offer!! Seriously! I have really gathered quite a collection, hehe!! The Tweet set is calling my name though! Haha! I hope you'll take a peek at them, I think you would love them too!! Go see Mandy at LIMELIGHT PAPERCRAFTS, she carries PCS! She carries that and SO much more! Besides, she is SUPER nice too!! Oh yeah, she is having AWESOME specials and giveaways for World Card Making day!! You HAVE to check out her blog for the details, HERE!! Alright, I think I filled you in on what's going on.

I would like to pose a question to all of you and get your input. I have been the BG paper collector lately!! Haha!! Me? Nah!! YES!!! Anyway, I keep them in plastic drawers and I would like to label the outside of them. I just am not sure of the best way to go about it. I had them labeled before, but, today I ripped the labels off. Why, you ask? Some of the new 12x12 sheets I got could coordinate with each other. Now, keep in mind, that before they were labeled by pattern, sort of speak. One was labeled flowers/nature, one was labeled stripes/polka dots, one was labeled kids/baby, and so on. You get the picture, right? Well, I just wonder if I should do it by color family, but, what if you come to a sheet that could be stored with several different families. Ugh!! That's what I get for over organizing!! Right? I just wonder what all of you do. Oh and another thing. I am just not sure which black or brown ink I should get for coloring. I have gotten several opinions on this and I CAN'T decide!! Are there certain ones you use for certain things? Fill me in!! Would you? I have tried the Stazon and the Versafine.

One last thing and I promise I'll stop going on and on! I would like to purpose an image swap!! What do you think? I am going to compile a list of those stamps that would be suitable for this. I will post it during my next visit, ok? If you are interested in swapping, just email me!! I love to share, you know that, and I love to play with new images! Don't you? I think it is fun to swap!! Ok, So as you all know, I had an Anniversary a few days ago too! Thank you all for your wonderful wishes to us! That really meant a lot! I didn't have a lot of time, but, I knew what I was going to get him; way ahead of time! He wanted the new book, "Brisinger", it just came out yesterday. He had to wait for his gift, since it came out a few days after our Anniversary. He didn't mind though, because he has already read the other books in the series and was waiting for this one. Given the fact that I didn't have a lot of time, his card was VERY simple; that and I don't have a whole lot of manly stamps! I need to work on that I think! I used an image that one of my sistah friends sent me! Thank you!! My man is the BEST!! Alright, here is the card I made in like 5 minutes flat. Not to mention, I made it at midnight!! I was trying to make it before he got home. I wanted to have both his book and the card waiting for him, when he got home from work! Sorry, here it is! Haha!

My Anniversary!!! & The Finger is STILL Throbbing!

Hey there everyone!! How's it going? Cut any skin off lately?? Oh yeah, right, that was ME! I should have known! Right now, as we speak? I am typing with my finger wrapped in 3,count 'em,3 Barbie bandaids!! And let me tell you, they are not coming off any time soon!! The last time I tried to put fresh bandaids on? The cut would NOT stop gushing blood! Sorry to gross you out, but, geez, it shouldn't STILL be bleeding! So, Barbie stays on!! I keep having to go back every so often and fix a typing error! Ok, more than every so often! I have to say how great it was to read all your kind words and well wishes for THE FINGER!! Not to mention all the encouragement about THE BOX! I am posting tonight to update you on THE BOX! Haha! Well, Kyah came home and as I had thought, was kinda bummed. I showed her what I had made and she was thrilled! So thrilled in fact, that she was rubbing it in her friends' face that she didn't have one! Bugging my mother, who came to visit, to look at it a GAZILLION times! She says,"Look what my mommy made just for me, isn't it cool?" As you can obviously see, THE FINGER? Well worth it!! Just wish it would stop throbbing!! UGH!! LOL!

Ok, on to the next topic. Tomorow is my and my DH's Anniversary. We will be married 9 years and together 15. It's so hard to believe! He offered for us to get lunch from one of our favorite restaurants, since we really can't go out to eat. The whole night shift thing and the twins, of course. What a thoughtful guy, huh? Can't wait to see what we'll get! We don't really have the chance to go out to eat anymore. That's ok though! I'd way rather have the twins then some Lobster dinner!! Haha!! That was a joke, ok?! Really!! Anyway, one of the things I got was some new markers!! Yay me!! I don't know if you all remember, he got me my first markers a few months ago. When he got me those, from DickBlic.com, I was so excited! They had a place, on their site, where you could create a wish list. That way, when people wanted to get you stuff, you could direct them there!! Which is awesome, because I can slowly add to my collection, on differnt occasions.So,that being said, he used this special occasion to get me a few more! Wasn't that great of him? He is SO sweet!! He knows that I am trying to get better at the coloring thing and I need more materials! Haha! Don't we always NEED more of something??! Speaking of which, I was going to make something to share with you all tonight, but, of course, I am out of adhesive! Darn!! It's not like I used a lot on THE BOX, or anything! Hehe! So, you will have to deal with just my works in progress!! I had to try out the new markers you know! So, I have posted a few pics below and maybe tomorrow, after getting more adhesive, I can create some things to share with you! A Card for BELLA & A Box for KYAH

Hi all, how are you? Ok, so here's the thing. This post is going to be a bit involved, for I have a little story to tell. So, sit back and relax! Haha! First I will tell you that this Bella card was for my Sistah Bella Friend, who is not feeling so hot!! I was fairly pleased with how it turned out, but, what made it truly exciting? The fact that I did it today and sent it out today!! Now, that's amazing! LOL! I hope she likes it; she likes pink and brown. Alrighty, on to the story. I have been contemplating, for some time now, how to create something for my DD to put her school folder in. She has a communication folder that is to go back and forth, to school, with her every day. It is to be her responsiblity to make sure it gets from point A to point B. I had wanted to make her something cool to help her with this. You know, if it's cool, she'll want to take care of the whole thing. Get it? Alright. Up until today, I hadn't really come up with anything good; I wanted to take something and alter it somehow. I looked at a cereal box, no, not wide enough. I thought about putting 2 boxes together, no, may not hold up. I even had myself convinced I would have to use some type of plastic container, such as rubbermaid or something like it. I could have just got a file holder thing, but, noooooooooooooooooo! I had to be creative and cheap!! Although, I wonder if it wouldn't have ended up being the same price, after all the stuff I used. I can't just stop at one embellishment or even two! LOL!

Let's see, ok, today I get an email from Kyah's teacher. You must know that she has been having some issues apparently, we just found out, with reading. Keep in mind that we had no idea! Also keep in mind, that I told her teacher "If there are any issues, please let me know. We like to be involved as much as possible." The other day we get a note sent home saying she has been recommended to have testing done, to see if she would benefit from reading support, in the learning center. My DH and I were like, WHAT?????? Anyway, I won't bore you with all the details. Suffice to say, we were pretty UPSET!! Then today, after a few emails went back and forth between myself and the school, I get another email saying that my DD refuses to read out loud with the class. That she seems to have her own agenda sometimes. REALLY??? I hadn't noticed!! LOL! Ok, so I am thinking, gee she must have had a rough day today. Maybe it's time I make this folder box thing to help cheer her up! Bottom line? I spent all day on this thing, in between caring for the twins, of course. Hey, I mean, it consumed me!! I just get something in my head and I have to do it and or finish it! ya know? I just get carried away!!

In the process of this WHOLE thing? I cut a huge chunk out of my finger; my index finger! It still HURTS!! I probably took off the first layer of skin, at least! That's what I get, right?? I got the bright idea to take a USPS Priority box and cut some of it off. It' sturdy, alterable, and the perfect size!! Why didn't I think of that before??! And that's where it all started!! (ha, love that sentence starter, not correct English!) I love it!! I just LOVE it!! I was VERY proud of myself! I hope you LOVE it too! Let me know what you think. Ok? Alright then, enough of my babbling, I had to give you some background though. It just wouldn't mean as much without it.

I hope you all made it thru my long drawn out story, because you have to know, I could have gone on! And on, and on! Hehe! That's just me, I guess! You wonder where my DD gets it from! HA! Hooray! My Riley stamps came Saturday! Talk about excited little me! Haha! So, how are you all? Thanks for visiting! I promised you a Riley card and guess what, I made 2!! I hope you like them. You will have to let me know what you think of the pics. I tried using the natural light, that was coming in thru my back sliding glass door. Do they look better than the others? The same or do the others look better? Just wanted your opinion. What do you tink of the coloring? I have been practicing you know! I have to apologize to my Bella Sistah, Carri, she just posted her Riley in a car. Who knew I would have the same taste and get the same stamp! Now, hers is way cool and I didn't want to copy her, but I did like her idea of using the CB folder. So, I hope you don't mind Carri, I used mine too! I like yours so much. I did change it up though, I think, and yours is way better! Check Carri's Riley out HERE! Hey and check out her new Blog Look! You will love it! Our awesome friend Michelle, at Shabby Creations, created it; just like she did mine and a few others I know. She does such a great job, be on the look out for her work, you can't miss it! Anyway, I am trying to get this in before tonight. My DH actually is working during the day today and will be home this evening! We don't usually get to see him at night, because he is ALWAYS at work! He has been so great about working the 4-12mid shift, so I can work a little during the day. Although I only get to work 2 days a week and it may be coming to an end, at least it's better then nothing! I like being able to use my brain, you know? By the way, on that other Riley card, the School one? This is how pathetic I am about matching stuff. Check out the saying at the bottom and the apple. The saying is from that MFT set I got and the apple is from my Changito School set. Funny how I keep what each set has, up in that head of mine! Hehe! I am always thinking on what will match what! Simplicity On A Sunday!!

Good afternoon to you!! Hope you all are safe and sound!! I had some time today and actually got 2 cards done! Imagine that! I know I promised you a Riley, but, that will have to wait until tomorrow! Sorry! I also had time to get all of the different things, I had to mail, ready to go!! So I am very happy about that!I just got my FIRST set of stamps from Kitchen Sink Stamps! I love them! I got a 3 step chick set. You know how it is, you peruse the SCS gallery and there it is! Your next MUST have! Haha! I am still learning, so be kind. I had to find 4 shades to use for the chick image. I had to play around a bit with it, to get it just right. You know me, picky, picky,picky! Then I wanted to find a way to make the card simple. Well, simple enough, that it didn't take away from the chick image. You know? I am pleased with how it came out, although I was hating the ribbon, for a while! It will do, I suppose! The next card, I had floating around in my mind for quite some time. I knew I wanted to stamp 3 of the little cars, all in a row. Aren't they cute? I just didn't know what type of card it would be. Oh yeah, and can you see the stickles I used on the red car? They are still the ones I had from Limelight Papercrafts! I traded with someone on SCS for a MFT sentiments set and there it was, One In A Million! I don't own any other MFT sets, but, I think they will be added to the wish list! Haha! They seem really reasonable price wise and the images are way adorable! Ok, so what do you think? Which one is your fav? Would you have done anything differently? Hey, if you haven't lately, you should check out LIMELIGHT PAPERCRAFTS! She is adding some cool stuff lately, as always! I haven't visited for a while myself and need to head over there! Hi all! First let me just say that I hope all of my friends are safe, after that horrible hurricane!! Now, I understand it is going to reak havoc thru Oklahoma and on up the US! So, I wish those of you in it's path safety and security!! You are ALL in my thoughts and prayers!! Ok, so I signed up for this next round of Bella Sistahs swap! This is my first time and I am so psyched!!! My NEW Bella Sistah is CARRI!! She is super nice and we have had great conversations so far and seem to have some things in common too!! Speaking of visiting, I am glad you stopped by! I have a cute card to share with you tonight. I bought my first Sissix die and have been putting off using it. Tonight I finally did! I read on SCS that I could use it with my CB and I guess you could say it worked. Just not the way I had planned! I first tried to use it with the C plate, which I thought was for die cuts. Well the plate was too thick and I didn't want to force it, for fear of breaking it! That would not have been good, since I have not had it for long!! I was determined to make it work, so I tried the regular plates I use; it did work, but, it cut into the bottom plate! I knew it would, but, what was I to do? I can't buy a seperate machine for that; not with 3 kids!! LOL! So, I figure I will just have to look for an extra plate sometime. Then again, I don't think it will effect how well it works, at least not for a while. Anyway, I also tried my hand at cutting again and seemed to fair a little better this time!! I used my brand NEW Little Tees set, from Gina K!! Now this is my first set I have gotten from her, this and the Retro Boutique set. I really like them, don't you? I used my good ole stand by BG paper, DCWV. I just love these mat stacks that match!! I recently ordered a Basic Grey one and I can't wait for it to arrive. I really wish I could find Basic Grey around where I live; then I wouldn't have to pay shipping on it and I could get it whenever I needed to! Haha! Well here's MY card and I hope to see all of you tomorrow! I got some new Riley's, so I think that will be my card for next time!! Stay well! Enjoy Life!! Until later..............................

My SCS Swap Cards & Enjoy Life!!

Hi! How are you?? Long time no see, huh? HOpe you and your families are well!! Tonight I just wanted to share a couple of cards I did for swaps on SCS. The first one looked great when I viewed the pic, but, after uploading here, the words don't look that great! So I apologize for that! I would post a better pic, but, they should be in Canada by now! Hehe! I use my Polky Apple, from Stamping Bella, for this one. I also used my CB embossing folder! I love when things match!! Can you tell, I had to use my Prismacolor markers, to practice.

Onto the next one, which will be traveling to Texas tomorrow. The cute little bug is from the SU set, Cute As A Bug! I knew I had this paper and the embossing folder just fit right in there, again! I used some of the Dew Drops I got from another SCS swap! How nice, huh? If it wasn't for those product swaps, I wouldn't have gotten to try anything new! So, thanks ladies!

So, I just want to say, even though today is a day of rememberance and sadness, you must be happy!! For you are here and you have loved ones to celebrate, not to mention LIFE to celebrate. So, as you remember those that were lost, also remember those that are still here and be glad! Remember, it's the little things!

Ok, I just couldn't let today go by without acknowledging this date. One more thing too! I wish all of you, in the path of these storms, safety! You will be in my thoughts and prayers! So, with all that said, let us move on to something brighter! I wanted to share these pics with you!! I always seem to get SUPER cool pics of Kade, because he just loves the camera!!
