TUESDAY DRIVE BY.........................

IT'S A PAPER AND SUCH CHALLENGE!

Well, good morning everyone!!  How goes your week THUS far?  I know, I know.....it is ONLY Tuesday!!  BUT........it is a NEW day!!  Woohoo, positive thinking!!
OK, so I have another FIRST for you all today!!  Today is a NEW challenge over at the PAPER AND SUCH BLOG, which means my FIRST challenge creation for them!!  This week's challenge is quite appropriate for the month we are in!  It is to.........................

USE RED, WHITE, AND BLUE!

Easy, right?  You betcha!!  Although for a pink person like me?  It proved to be DEF interesting!!  Haha!  I decided to give my CAS skills a shot again!!  As you all know, I am working on that!  SO, here is my challenge creation!

I used the NEWLY released HEART STRINGS set, along with my Copics!  I have seen many projects that utilize a simple border like mine and have been DYING to try my hand at it!!  I used my Spellbinder Squares and my Black Copic Multiliner!  I stamped the CA-ute little house first than lined up my die and traced the line from there!  I then took my Copic colors and laid them down on my acrylic block.  I used my "0" Copic as a paint brush and picked up the colors off the block to paint onto my image!  LOVE how it turned out!  This is a challenge you NEED to play along with!  I mean, seriously?  Who does not LOVE creating and having a chance at a PRIZE!!  You can find ALL the details over on the PAPER AND SUCH BLOG!!   Not to mention some AWESOME design team inspiration!!  To play along, all you have to do is CLICK ON THE CHALLENGE BUTTON, on the right hand side of the blog!! PAPER AND SUCH BLOG HOP

Hey there friends!  How are you?  Long time NO talk!!  SO much going on here, I don't even no where to begin!!    Since this is the case, I will dedicate THIS post to my FIRST bit of news and come back to share some MORE later!!  I am SUPER psyched to share with you that I am the NEWEST design team member over at PAPER AND SUCH!!  How COOL is that?  Right?  Very excited to be working with my friend JULIE!!  She has such an AWESOME store and is such a GREAT person!!  Thanks JULIE for having me on your team!!

I LOVE how this turned out!!  I found just the RIGHT patterned paper, to go with the HEART STRINGS set, and just the RIGHT color embellishments too!!  The DSP is homemade 6 bean soup from Jillibean Soup and the buttons are Basic Grey!  As I am ALWAYS doing the "matchy-matchy" thing?  When I could NOT find the RIGHT color twine or ribbon?  I used some sewing thread!!  Haha!  Matched perfectly!!  LOVE it!  This NEW set is SO versatile!!   You will DEF have all kinds of uses for it!!  Hope you like it as much as I do!!  Thanks for stopping by and your NEXT stop is the FABULOUS  JANICE!!  I know she has something AMAZING for you!!  Hey there friends!  How are you?  LONG time no see, huh?  Wow, does time fly around here!  I tell ya!  You turn around and it is the FIRST day of May!!  Ahh......summer is FAST approaching!  Woohoo!  So, what have you been up to?  Anything FUN?  Well, I have something FUN to share!!  I am the GUEST DESIGNER over at MR. CRICUT CRAZY this month!!  How cool is that?  Aren't familiar with MCC?  You NEED to check him out!!  MCC is a company started by a young man named Tanner!  He does all the illustrations for his clear stamps and even has his OWN tutorial videos!!   Now....that?  Is AWESOME!!  So, when I got the email asking if I would do a Guest DT spot?  Of course I said yes!!  Who could say no?!   Anything I can do to help this young man to succeed!!  I have a small PEEK of my project below,BUT, you will need to visit MR.CRICUT CRAZY to check out the ENTIRE creation!!  I cannot wait for you to see it!!  such a CA-ute image!!  All the DEETS are below and I hope you will help me get the WORD out about Tanner and his stamp company!!  I'll see you again REAL soon!  Until then.....................ENJOY LIFE!!

HOW TO'S:

I first chose my DSP, as I always do, since I like to MATCH!  Surprise!  I colored my Heidi puppy in with my Copics, going from light to dark.  I went back in a few times, in a flicking motion, to add the dark streaks that look like fur strands?!  It takes a bit of back and forth to blend and get the right texture.  Then I cut out my image and the background papers/cardstock with my Circle Spellbinders.  When that was finished I cut my cardstock base to a square 5 1/4, layered a piece of plain DSP (that matched of course), cut the patterned DSP down to size, and added my sentiment at the bottom right.  To finish it off, I added some satin ribbon and clear pearly things I had in my embellies drawer!!  Hope you like!

Woohoo! What is there NOT to LOVE about that? I tell ya! I LOVE hopping FUN!! This one is EXTRA fun for it is a masculine kid hop, ya know? It is ALWAYS interesting to come up with the PERFECT card for that GUY in your life!! I would say I am MANLY card CHALLENGED! Haha! SO, I came up with a monochromatic one for ya!
